We've made tremendous progress raising $35,000 for the new Snow Bowl Hut, but have another challenge in front of us: raising another $40,000 by the end of June, which will make us eligible for a $25,000 contribution from a private foundation, possibly allowing us to start construction this summer! We know many of you have given what you can, so to reach this next goal, we need to reach out to local businesses and corporations. It's simple -- just Request an Info Packet on MTTA and Project Phoenix and present it to your employer or local business. Getting the word out CAN make it possible to start rebuilding Snow Bowl this year! And PLEASE... keep up-to-date and stay involved via Project Phoenix Status and Helping. |

North America's largest No Fee Hut-to-Hut Trail System. Approximately 50 miles of trails, 20 miles groomed, three huts, and a yurt. Operated and managed by a Non-Profit Association in cooperation with our host landowners.
The trail system provides two huts and one yurt as
overnight accommodations. Other than a nominal
permit processing fee, there is no charge, as long as
you show up for your reservation and leave the huts
in good condition. The huts and yurt are
available for day trekers to use as a rest place and
lunch facility.
All facilities have propane heating stoves, sleeping pads, propane lights, a complete kitchen, tables, chairs, etc. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag, food, and emergency gear in case you need it on the way to or from the facility.
Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. They can be made in person at Whittaker Mountaineering in Ashford, or delivered to the MTTA office by mail or in person on winter season weekends.
